Forgotten District

The Forgotten District was the site of a Demonic Incursion that occurred 11 years ago. A mass of Demonics swarmed into the area, overwhelming the limited and undertrained guards in the regularly peaceful city. Before the sun rose on the morning of 12th Sylmrise, not a single human soul walked the streets of the district. Tens of thousands died, and those lucky enough to survive the event succumbed to sickness and Demonic Insanity not long after, leaving the district desolated, and those surrounding it deprived and weakened after sheltering and assisting the survivors.
Though the streets today may seem ruined and abandoned, a small community live in the place, though weakened from the constant threats. It was originally began as a expedition of Imhet, to research the Demonic species, and to find ways to prevent it ever happening again. However, with the constant threats, and madness and disease running rampant, little work was done. Now the 'researchers' are insane, alone and  struggling to survive.
