The greatest city in all of the civilised planes: Lihiri. Ah, Lihiri! A home of culture and a beacon for hope in our dangerous times. No place represents the multiverse better. Here you can find shelter and their kind people will assist you with anything you should require, or so I'm told. I, of course, have never felt the need to rely on another.

A Traveller's Guide to the Multiverse.
A city that stretches across it's entire world, Lihiri is a bustling centre of trade and culture that represents the entire multiverse. A hub for goods and trading as well as more scholarly jobs. The realm is vast, complex and sophisticated compared to the other worlds.
The All-War
Lihiri had a major role in what we now know as the All-War. The armies of
Morfan battled for years against the malevolent
Orcs, and eventually, with the assistance of several other worlds' forces, defeated the menace.
Magic
Magic in Lihiri is common and used in everyday life. Approximately 40% of Lihirians can cast at least some simple spells. It is a service as common as any other, and magic is often combined with
Gatesilver and other metals to create powerful machines.
Religion
Most modern Lihirians worship
Mantha, goddess of Lihiri - a fierce warrior who famously thousands of Orcs before ascending to godhood. Religion in the city is overseen by the famed
Manthasir.
Originally a city of
Humans before the great Opening of the Doors, you wouldn't be surprised to see just about anyone of any race or culture who has made their home here, though humans are still the main species in the world. Recently an influx of species from faraway and exotic worlds have come to the city, searching for accommodation and a better life than their typically dangerous home, such as the jungle world of
Rochull or the home of the elves, the
Wildlands.
The world is run by the organisation known as
Phaelmor, who have two councils to decide on law and political decisions, the True Council and the Council of Five.
The city is defended by the armies of
Morfan, millions or billions of soldiers throughout the world. Five-foot thick stone walls protect the wealthier districts of the city from attack.
The settlement trades the rare resources on their planet for Silmhere, the currency of Lihiri, which was adopted by many other worlds along with many other Lihirian customs. Though the governors of the city are aware that their resources are depleting and will eventually run out, no solution has yet been found.
The oceans of the world have long since gone, instead purified water is systematically pumped through the planet as to be readily available all over the city. The city is split into many thousands of small districts dedicated to trade, knowledge, government and more.
All of the food and resources required for such a city are imported from other worlds as the city has none of its own resources and there isn't enough space to grow food.
One of the most notable factions of Lihiri is
Silvae, dedicated to learning about the history and nature of our universe. Massive libraries full of millions of books and archives are dedicated to this research. There is also the merchant’s guild of Golmoor, The settlement is mainly run by division into five main groups, the Endorsan, though there is many others. The first is
Phaelmor (
Lihirian for power), the old government and nobles of the city who run the majority of the city. Then
Silvae, the scholars and sages of the city. They make records and uncover the deepest history of the city. Another, Golmoor are the merchants and traders residing in Lihiri, as trading is the lifeline of such a huge city. The fourth is
Morfan, who are traders and merchants that support each other and assist each other.
Lihiri was supposedly one on the first, or perhaps the first, worlds to be created. For thousands of years, while the other realms dealt with evils like dragons and their wrath, the people of Lihiri prospered. Eventually the factions and nations of Lihiri banded together, and largely the entire landmass was covered in cities and industry. They expanded outwards, building onto the sea. At this point happened the Opening of the Doors. The city was provided with fresh resources and trade with others such as it and they could expand to cover the whole world.
The city is dominated by white limestone and red slate rooves. Most of the more important buildings are massive structures like domes or towers, held up by massive pillars.
Many rare and exotic metals are mined deep down many miles beneath the surface of the city, such as mithril and occasionally
Gatesilver, and traded for money.
