Golmoor
The League of Golmoor is likely the biggest merchants guild of Lihiri, with many of the city's inhabitants having some sort of relation to the guild. They deal in many different trades across the city, buying and selling wares. They are quite possibly one of the reasons why the economy of the city has continued to thrive over so many thousands of years. Ocasionally they have been known to use more illegal methods to sell and buy wares, but this mostly angered Tharquan, and so they usually stick to honest methods.
Structure
The merchant guild works in a system where each member of the guild has a small cut of what they earn given to the rank above it in exchange for the protection and insurance of their wealth and wares. The highest ranks often also belong to Phaelmor and are quite influential in the True Council.
Assets
The guild have amassed a huge amount of gold throughout their existence, more than the government itself. However, they are rumoured fairly weak in military might, and many believe that it could be toppled within a single uprising, dispersing the wealth among the people and creating equality - though this is likely a fake claim made by Tharquan.
History
The organisation was first formed as a small group of merchants somewhere in one of the earliest kingdoms of Lihiri who were regularly troubled by the thought of their goods and wealth being stolen, and all of their money and renown being gone in an instant. They decided to band together and get a small garrison to defend themselves as a united group of merchants. The rumours of the incredible wealth of this group spread quickly and they rose to be a highly respected group.
