Many speculate that she has chosen a path similar to Joseph Gelichic, opting to live peacefully within human society while eluding further government scrutiny.

In Session 1, Gretel emerges as a pivotal figure, intervening to rescue Hugo Whitlock and Dimitri Vasiliev from an unidentified Jaoren assailant. Following this harrowing encounter, Gretel extends a helping hand, introducing them to Mia Toko, a café exclusively run by Jaoren. Gretel provides a concise explanation of The Linkage to Hugo and Dimitri, outlining the fundamental aspects and significance of the concept.
In Session 2, Gretel, alongside other Mia Toko employees, takes on the role of mentor, guiding Hugo and Dimitri through the nuances of living as both humans and Jaoren. This unique experience offers an invaluable opportunity for the newcomers to gain insights into the distinct challenges and dynamics associated with both worlds. Mia Toko becomes not just a haven for Jaoren but also a place of learning and mutual understanding, fostering a sense of community and shared experiences among its diverse inhabitants.
In Session 3, Gretel and her fellow Mia Toko employees gather at a bar, providing a setting for shared camaraderie. During this time, Gretel opens up about her philosophy regarding Jaoren interactions with humans and government agents. She expresses the belief that Jaoren should strive to avoid conflicts, fostering a peaceful coexistence with their human counterparts.
In Session 4, upon learning about the incident involving Simon Foster outside the village, Gretel offers to assist Hugo in understanding his newly manifested abilities, in this moment she discovers Hugo is a Red Eye. She also expresses concern for Simon's well-being after the events of the village. It is alluded to that Gretel used to rule over District 7 by Shiro Takeda.
In Session 5, when informed about the government agent's presence in Mia Toko, Gretel quickly moves from her room to the cafe to handle the situation. When the agent questions her about Simon, she skillfully redirects his attention to another area of the city. Gretel then asserts that the cafe has no connection to Simon and claims ignorance about his identity. Afterward, she comforts Jessandra Cimo, who was overwhelmed with fear upon the agent's appearance.
In Session 6, Hugo confronts Gretel, revealing his involvement in the District 16 warehouse raid alongside Freedom. Initially shocked by this revelation, Gretel expresses her concerns about Hugo collaborating with battle-bred Jaoren, especially considering his limited experience. Recognizing Hugo's determination to enact change, she makes a proposition: in exchange for her assistance in preparing him for the challenges ahead, Hugo must disclose Dimitri's involvement with Freedom.
In Session 8, Gretel, accompanied by Robbie, engages in a discussion with Hugo, covering various topics. This includes revealing Robbie's role as an enforcer of Mia Toko, a detail that Gretel appeared hesitant to disclose. Throughout the conversation, she also expresses interest in whether Hugo has altered his ideals.
