High Virki

Purpose / Function

High Virki serves as the central hub for the Mystics of the Creed of Ashensouls. High Virki is critical to the Creed as it provides shelter from the harsh mountain climate and a safe, central location for the Mystics to go when meditating, reflecting, and convening.

Architecture

Few outside of the Creed have ever seen High Virki due to the dangerous trek up the mountain and dangerous local populace, but those who have have described it as being unlike any other structure on Jeharr. Constructed entirely of a strange stone that seems to be resistant to weathering, High Virki is believed to have remained completely unchanged for thousands of years. The stone is said to have a blue hue to it that almost makes it look frozen. High Virki is also built on a nearly shear drop on Virki Mountain and is said to appear to defy gravity, leaning out on flying arches over a thousand foot drop, unmoving for millennia.

History

The precise origins of High Virki are unknown, although it is speculated to be as old as the Old World period and constructed from materials from Orbis with the help of the Gods. The question remains as to how High Virki could have been built before the creation of the spine between 5000 and 4000 BBA. Some say that this is evidence that High Virki was built after the Old World period, others say that the building is so resilient it simply rose up the mountain after Therus fell on it, and others still claim that the origins of High Virki are so mysterious because it actually came from The Trench on the back of the Titan.
