Belandra Fonsa was born to the circus as a member of the acrobatic troupe the flying Fonsas with her brother Kaleb. In the city of Daern she attracted the attentions of Baron Luchein an old man who made inappropriate advances. He requested that Belandra meet him for an evenings entertainment. When she told her brother Kaleb he went in disguise. The Baron not noticing the ruse decided to try to kiss her in public. Kaleb removed the wig and exposed himself before everyone in the tavern and several noblemen as he was kissing the circus boy. Kaleb winked at all the nobles watching and tumbled out a window. The Baron Luchein will never let this humiliation die and sought to ruin the Fonsas. It was better for their parents that she and Kaleb disappear. A life of performance was no longer an option for them. They took to using their acrobatic skills for Cat burglary preying particularly on snobbish entitled nobles. They soon became friends with the elder thief Timothy Smythe who would tip them off to jobs and eventually having no other place to go ended up living at his bording house of urchins.
