Temple of Savras
Savras is a deity of wizards, fortune tellers, diviners, and those who unfailingly speak the truth regardless of whether listeners want to hear it. His symbol is a great eye, or a crystal ball filled with eyes. Savras's temple is one of the oldest, grandest buildings in Port Nyanzaru. The tiled roof of its great dome resembles an unblinking eye, staring skyward.
A deity devoted to revealing the truth might seem to have a weak draw in a city of merchants, but Savras has widely been worshiped in Chult for many years. The clergy were valued because they could keep tabs on the denizens of the Chultan jungles, such as Lizardfolk, Undead and the inscrutable Yuan-Ti, which still loom large as boogeymen in the imaginations of the populace. In more recent times the clergy scry into more mundane matters; portents into business affairs, the outlook for newborn children, affairs of the heart etc.
The Head Priest of the temple is Grandfather Zitembe, an aged but kind man.
The priests and acolytes here specialise in divination magic, and offer services in fortunes, auguries, locating missing people or items, and truth detection.
When the Death Curse heightened, Grandfather Zitembe succumbed, but before he died he revealed one final Prophesy to The Sexiles.
