The former people of the shattered nation of Ankamoor are now cast wide across Jushara. Many live in the migrant fleets, while others have started new lives in places and people's not their own.
----- Ankamoor was a hard country, the most northwesterly in Thrask. It was inhabited by a mix of Jotuns and Humans. When Ankamoor was shattered by the Canim invasion, many citizens managed to flee. Some found homes in other countries, slowly beginning the process of assimilating, raising their children with stories of a better time, a lost home. Some took to the seas in the few great ships that survived the invasion. Ankamooran culture favors Independence, Extreme Honesty, and Endurance. They were a seafaring folk, with a long history of sailing the icy waters of the north. Their clothing and culture reflect this, even the finest clothes are practical, sturdy, and, preferably, waterproof. Ankamooran bloodlines are traced matrilineally. Male children simply add -son to the end of their mothers clan name.

Culture and cultural heritage
Ankamoorans while both an ethnic and cultural group, also had a unique magical bond. A remenant of the power of a minor deity, Anke, the goddess of the island of Tyrginvæl. When Anke died saving her people in the God Wars, she divested her spirit in a last act of desperation and love, seeding all of her self into her people as Tyrginvael sank into the ocean. These shards of Ankh are present in every Ankamooran, and are a defining feature of their culture.

Ankamooran beauty standards tend towards a fit, but healthy bodies. Makeup is uncommon, and is considered crass if it is done in an overly subtle manner.
