The Oathstained

The Oathstained were an order of zealot warriors that formed after the fall of Ankamoor. They were formed of the remainder of the Ravenguard, and those that took up the oaths of those that fell.
There are exactly 300 Oathstained, and when one falls, another shoulders their stains.
To become an oathstained is to let the ego die, and carry the spirit of one of the ravenguard, and their oaths, until the oaths are fufilled or the bearer dies and another takes the mantle. Oathstained carry the sense of self, and some of the memories and skills of those that came before them.
Oathstained are terrifyingly skilled warriors, that will fight ferociously and brutally against any odds.
When an oathstained is severely injured or their will is faltering, their services are hired out, for exorbiant amounts, to fund the neverending needs of the order.
