The God of Madness, Egel is inexplicable and contact with them often leads to a loss of sanity and sense of self. As with most of the Far Gods, their nature is unknown, though even less is known about Egel than most of the other Far Gods.   Egel is thought to spread madness and confusion like a plague, always seeking new targets to break, both mentally and physically. It is said that Egel seeks to expose the irrationality and the deepest animal urges that lie within all creatures, and to push them over the edge. Little is known about Egel's goals, though some theorize that they are an entity of pure sadism and hedonism, deriving pleasure from their surrender to mindlessness. Egel does not have obvious allies. They simply seem to attract those of similar mind. Those fallen to temptation or those running from their own guilt.   Little is known about how Egel might manifest, if they ever did. They, however, are depicts as both male and female or both simultaneously. Sometimes they appear as an inexplicable tentacled mass of pure madness, while other times as a chained, sickeningly beautiful figure. More often than not, they appear as something in between, though few who claim to have encountered Egel retain any form of sanity.
