Cults of the Far Gods

Influence

The Far Gods are feared across the continent of Kaerinthe and any worship of them often occurs in secretive cults or monster societies. No-one knows from where the Far Gods came from, though the Book of Lyreas and other ancient texts seem to suggest that they are not native to the plane of Kaerinthe and are responsible for the etherstorms that ravage the continent.
These texts also seem to suggest that the Far Gods created the Craven: Many of the world's monster races including both unintelligent monsters and humanoid monsters such as Orcs, Goblins, Bugbears, Gith, Yuan-ti, Gnolls, Changelings, and more. It is for this reason, people theorize, that many of these Craven are empowered by etherstorms, and their societies worship the Far Gods. Many Craven, however, do not serve the Far Gods and seem to live in Nearfolk society. These prefer to be called Farfolk.
Cults to the Far Gods exist in many unseen corners of Kaerinthe and the Multifold, though pockets of organized Monster societies exist that worship the Far Gods.

Sects

There are various forms of practice to the Far Gods as is the nature of their secretive organizations, and most are difficult to pin down. There are a few examples of prominent societies that are known to worship the Far Gods, though details on their worship remain scarce:

• The Nation of Dolska (organized worship of all the Far Gods)
• The Hidden City of the Parmali Dunes (details unknown)
• The Yuan-ti tribes of the Kwagema (worship of Nenthras)
• The Drow of the Underdark (organized worship of Yahara and Egel)
• The denizens of the Infernal Hells (organized worship of Umaro'hai)
• The denizens of the Ebon Abyss (worship of Scephelee)

Ideological Conflicts

The Cults of the Far Gods stand in vehement opposition to most other deities, pantheons, and religions, however they hold the most enmity towards The Blank God and The Lyrean Pantheon.

The Blank God:
The Inquisition of the Blank God is well known for seeking out and eradicating those who follow the Far Gods. As such, a hatred for the Blank God has grown and festered within the Far cults.
The Lyrean Pantheon:
The Lyrean Forums are rather dominant in most of Kaerinthe, and their strong presence seems to anger the cults. As such, these Cults are often found attacking, terrorizing, and subverting Lyrean societies whenever given the opportunity.
