Tseiba (tSAY-ba)

The original planet that the Tseibajeen species came from.

Geography

  • 80% of planet is covered in water
  • Artificially desalinated oceans serve as massive underwater(and abovewater) city
  • Land covered in vegetation
  • Sky always overcast
  • Clouds simultaneously trap and reflect heat from star, leading to warm climate

Ecosystem

  • Most underwater wildlife has been destroyed, or repurposed to serve the needs of its inhabitants, the Tseibajeen.
  • Few lands primarily covered in vegetation farmed for production of Oxygen

Localized Phenomena

  • Sky is permanently overcast at equator, due to proximity to local star evaporating water. Clouds form which block out excess heat from the sun.

Climate

  • Average surface temperature: 30oC
  • No polar Ice-caps

Natural Resources

  • Fish from fisheries

History

Dawn of Tseibajeen

the Tseibajeen (now known as Celestials) formerly lived both on land, and in small pockets of fresh water.

Desalination of Oceans

as the Tseibajeen rose in population, then needed new freshwater territories to live. The ocean was off-limits due to its salt, but over time the Tseibajeen were able to desalinate the oceans. The desalination of the ocean took many centuries, but was eventually possible with their technology. But this came at the cost of 99% of all naturally occurring ocean life. Those that couldn't adapt to freshwater died. Species that died were replaced by species artificially transplanted into the ecosystem by the Tseibajeen, both to restore life to the ocean floor, and also to. The Tseibajeen took their conquest of the ocean as a great victory.

Tourism

Tseibajeen who've retired from military service often visit this world, since it is the birthplace of their species, when they formerly called themselves the Tseibajeen
