One of the more dangerous Monarch Tea ceremonies out of recent ones. The backdrop of violence in the streets increased participants risk, some did not survive.

Monarch Tea Ceremony:
With virtual rioting in the streets the Monarch Tea Ceremony concluded a week of supposed festivities in lead up to the actual consumption of the Tea by the remaining candidates. There had been debate about whether to invite other eligible candidates, however, with so much widespread unrest it was decided by the council to limit it to the 8-remaining candidate. The mob over ran the ceremony in Coronation Square at one point a couple of candidates were mortally wounded, three more died through misadventure and, it must be said, that the Royal Guard showed remarkable restraint with the rioting mobs, even when they entered Coronation Square the Royal Guard stood firm. Of course, had the Royal Garden or the Sacred fountain been I anyway been tampered with or entered during the civil unrest they would have been swift and brutal in their response. It was as if the rioting mobs implicitly understood this.
Once the mob had run themselves to exhaustion and the dust settled, the Gods had chosen. It was the Ranger from Forest of Needles – Benlay Thorsten who had been unaffected by the Tea.
He would be crowned in ten days’ time – once cleanup had been completed.
