Capitol Gate

Purpose / Function

As the main gate for those traveling into the city from the south.

Alterations

It was a total rebuild from its original structure.The doors are great feats of engineering as they slide into the walls.These gates were a gift from the Khazadur Kingdom in 78AN

Architecture

The design of the gate was done by Eldorian craftsman, so maintains a distinct Imperial feel. The Lion of the emperor is etched in the keystone that came from a massive stone belt buckle from a pre-notime Goliath statue.It was fitted and cut to be the main Keystone of the structure.
Flanked by two Celestial servants that watch each person as they continue into the city.

Tourism

This is the gate most Pilgrims see when they arrive. unfortunately this is where the small district known as Double town has sprung up.Here there are charlatans selling relics of dead saints and rare pre notime artifacts of dubious origins.Also spending a night in  one of the taverns or inns can be just as deadly as staying in the rotting swamp as new comers are seen as easy marks.
