Grand duke Clarence Modeen, master of the Stanterton Duchy and ruler of the Borderlands
His lordship, Clarence Modeen the first, arrived to the borderlands at the time of Notime. Scholars only guess his age to be over 200 but his body shows the age of a 50 year old man thick in the middle with soft skin of one that has never used them for anything but academic or food related reasons.
His personal court is filled with nobles all grasping for his attention and approval as some see him as divine, while others see him as an abomination to life. The Great church have never said anything officially about his longevity but the scriptoriums have discussed in length what the reason is,concluding that he must know of some magic that he forgot about before Notime.
Needless to say the nobleman was appointed his position over a century ago and the emperor himself wont say a negative thing about his house and even go so far as to have private meetings with him when no other Grand duke has the same privilege.
Over the years he has sired many offspring all considered bastards but one has been given noble birth status. His son and Heir, Clarence the second.
His extravagance in life is equaled in his family crest. Known for his love of roses and Ravens he has used these as his symbol of life. What intrigues people of all walks of life is that he has been allowed to add a royal crown to his crest. This has caused some to call him "the second emperor"or "true emperor" even "bastard king"
