Arpaxxan

Arguably the best kept secret on Lilna, Arpaxxan is a trading post, waystop, and small settlement hiding in the shadow of Lilna's tallest peak. Entirely self-sufficient thanks to an abundance of game, fertile ground, and freshwater, the inhabitants know that their good fortune rests on the ignorance of outsiders. The seldom-travelled footpath that leads from Embalmer's Enclave through the wilderness to their village continues up into the mountainous wastes of northern Lilna until it eventually reaches its end point at Lanithex, though tradition maintains that the Arpaxxani never venture there. After all, there is only one soul they know of in their folklore who ever made the trip back from Lanithex. A woman whose shadow fell the wrong way, and whose eyes gleamed the colour of burnished silver.
