WC1 - The Original

A BUILDING ASSOCIATED WITH JOY AND FUN

A comparably new construction considering the overall age of the most buildings in Etude, this glittering structure boasts a fanciful and elaborate facade that has illuminated posters of the current productions and other upcoming events that the theatre hosts.

The entire structure was built by the Dannamore in 4102NC as part of the E.I.B.R.P. (Etude infrastructure & building restoration project. The theatre was such an important social and cultural meeting point that the previous owners arranged for the rebuild to be put off and delayed as long as they could to avoid disrupting the continuity and flow business flow but after nearly 50 years, the now elderly couple decided it was time to retire and turned the property, deed and all, over to the Dannamore.

Much to the surprise of everyone lamenting the loss of their beloved theatre, the Dannamore didn't shut it down. For their own reasons, the Dannamore architects barely deviated from the original layout and even let the stage crew and actors save important props or stage pieces before the old building was demolished. The Dannamore agents that oversaw the project were fans of the theatre and they wanted to honour the historic presence the original theatre had while making it clear that there would always be a theatre where that building stood. The community was moved and when theatre reopened as 'The Original' there were hundreds of people waiting in line for the first performances.

In the 30 years since the Dannamore took ownership, the theatre has never been closed for more than a few days between shows and their popularity has skyrocketed even more recently with the addition of illusionists to the stage crew and other innovations developed for the theatre by the Dannamore and the passionate staff with arcane talent.

Alterations

Prior to 4102NC, the structure on this land was an entirely different building. In accord with a governmentally sanctioned modernizations, the old theatre was demolished and this one was built. Outwardly it appears very similar to the previous; basic layout, general archetectural features, and whatnot were nearly identical. They did use updated building materials and modern archetecture was underneith the beautiful and familiar facade.
