King Richard William Blackburn (a.k.a. The Burnt Knight)
Sir Richard Blackburn was born and raised in the bustling city of Oremond, located in the heart of the Kingdom of Eldermere. He came from a noble family with a long tradition of military service, and he was groomed from an early age to become a knight and defender of the realm.
As a young man, Sir Blackburn joined the King's Guard, the elite corps of knights tasked with protecting the monarch and the kingdom from external threats and internal strife. He quickly distinguished himself as a skilled and disciplined warrior, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and superiors.
During his time in the King's Guard, Sir Blackburn met and befriended a fellow knight by the name of Eric Steelhelm. Eric was a veteran of many battles, known for his courage and his unwavering loyalty to the king. The two knights became fast friends, sharing stories of their adventures and battles, and honing their skills in the training yard.
Eventually, Sir Blackburn was called upon by King Devon to lead a military expedition to the Kingdom of Ituri, which was said to be rich in natural resources and fertile lands. Sir Blackburn saw this as an opportunity to prove his worth and expand his influence, and he eagerly accepted the challenge. He assembled a formidable army of knights, soldiers, and mercenaries, and set out for the distant land of Ituri.

So much like his father and his father before him Richard joined the Eldermere Royal Guard gaining credibility during the years of the great conquering when the guard had to pick up new responsibilities
