Daiad the Shaper (DIE-ad)

Daiad the Shaper was the first member of the Vincaran pantheon to come into existence. They created the other gods and goddesses, starting with Kalak, then Ainia and the rest. Once all the deities were created, Daiad set to work crafting forms that would allow them to fully manifest their power into the world of the living without destroying it. It takes Them 1,001 years to craft one of these forms.   Daiad is depicted as a bald Vincaran with an androgenous body, a female face on one side of Their head and a male face on the other side. They are typically shown seated and sculpting with clay.   Curiously, Daiad does not have a temple or priesthood. They are considered to be a step above the other gods and goddesses, unknowable and mysterious. They are believed to be unconcerned with mortal affairs as Their full concentration is on the act of creation.   That said, statues of Them are not uncommon, and Their name is often invoked when praising or praying to other deities, none of whom would exist without Them.
