As the dust settles from the cataclysmic confrontation, you stand surrounded by the faces of those you’ve saved along the way; each performer distinct, their spirits rekindled in the wake of the Ringmaster's downfall. Margan, the strongman, flexes his muscles, a grin spreading across his face as he hoists Erellev, high into the air, her laughter ringing like a sweet chime. Nearby, Nera and Raven exchange knowing smiles, their bond strengthened by the trials they’ve faced together. Everyone is there, those you met and those you didn't: Kardus with his shinning armor; healed at last, Warren the deformed servant; finally free of his chains and Serena; the lively gnome who once owned the material version of this carnival. There are more: Loucretia and Amarathis and Nerissa. Erythos is now the Unbound and not the Undying. In a distance you also see the mysterious Seer, nodding with respect; his third eye finally calm in this moment of redemtion.
A thousand more souls, once wandering aimlessly through this twisted realm, gather around you, their expressions filled with gratitude and newfound hope. You feel their warmth envelop you, a collective acknowledgment of your bravery and sacrifice.
As the carnival’s remnants fade, a bright light begins to approach from the distance, its radiance cutting through the lingering gloom. You narrow your eyes against its brilliance, feeling a gentle pull towards it, as if the very essence of hope is beckoning you closer. As the light draws nearer, you begin to discern a figure within its glow; an angelic presence, graceful and ethereal, her wings unfurling in a magnificent display.
Do you recognize her?
As the figure steps into the light, you recognize Moira- the angel you saved- her wings restored, shimmering with an iridescent hue. Her eyes, filled with gratitude and compassion, lock onto yours. “Thank you for your courage,” she whispers, her voice resonating like a soothing melody amidst the chaos. “You chose to save not only yourself, but all of us. For this I owe you. Please, accept my gift.”
With a gentle wave of her hand, she envelops you in a warm, radiant embrace. Instantly, you feel a pulse of energy, a gift of resurrection surging through you. In a blink, the world around you blurs, and you find yourself awakening, back in your home, alive and ready to embrace a new beginning. Welcome back to
As the light continues to envelop you, everything around you begins to dissolve into stardust, each particle shimmering with the promise of peace. A profound calm washes over you, filling the void left by your struggles. The light draws nearer, illuminating your path with a sense of reassurance. You realize you have earned your rest in the afterlife; Siona, the goddess of death and magic, has already judged you.
You find yourself on the Bridge of Entropy, where the boundaries between worlds blur, leading you to the afterlife. With each step, you are filled with a sense of fulfillment, knowing you made a monumental difference in the lives of many, now free from the grasp of the Ringmaster’s twisted carnival.
You have shaped the world in a way few ever had.
And now, you can finally rest.
