Pre-Timeskip Summation

31 Iqnu, 2022 to 14 Pelu, 2024

When this generation of Shard-Bearers began to arrive, Kenos was largely at peace. Shard-Bearers moved between Highstorm and Springstar freely, regardless of Harmonization. While there were some perils — such as a dryad that temporarily took up residence in the Tree of Life, or a Shard-Bearer named Manon suffering from high Discord running loose in Alenroux — new Shard-Bearers were able to handle these threats.

This began to change when the first Oracle awoke. Shard-Bearers were transported to a distant island frozen in time called the Scorching Isles. While Zenith captured that initial victory, Shard-Bearers inadvertently brought the Blight — which had frozen time — back with them...

In the midst of politics involving the ultimate fate of Manon (left to retire peacefully) and Meridian forces' invasion of Alenroux, the Blight spread, devastating Highstorm and Springstar both. Aetós sent Shard-Bearers to the future in search of the Oracle responsible for this. They discovered a post-apocalyptic Kenos before descending into the Tree of Life's roots, where the Iconoclast Oracle began in earnest, with Zenith claiming its victory once again.

The Oracle claimed, Shard-Bearers returned to a time before the Blight's destruction took hold. Facilitated by Aetós, a group discovered a cure, while political unrest began amongst Springstar — both against Tribune Cyrus, and towards the Meridian forces in Alenroux, even as Alenroux became a safer place to live. Ambassadors from both factions agreed to work together to curb the Alenroux unrest.

With life back in a steady rhythm, the Exalt Oracle appeared. Claimed by Meridian, both factions had an Oracle apiece. Tensions remained relatively mild, with Shard-Bearers continuing to work to improve life and safety in Alenroux, while Kenosians began to venture further into the Beyond at the appearances of temples and shrines.

But unusual phenomena began to occur. Shard-Bearers experienced a strange dream, and occasionally people from their original worlds could be spotted — but they never stuck around long enough to interact with. Shadows in Springstar began to lengthen, and light in Highstorm began to burn — and then, the Harbinger Oracle appeared, and was subsequently claimed by Meridian. However, some Shard-Bearers, dissipated during the Oracle, experienced a dream of immense, hungry shadows chasing them and consuming everything in sight.

As the war for the Oracles has reached its halfway point tensions have risen between Highstorm and Springstar, and no longer does every Shard-Bearer find themselves welcome in the opposing faction's city. Plans on both sides begin in earnest, as monsters from Kowloon begin making their way topside to attack those in Springstar, while some Meridian Shard-Bearers begin work on a weapon in Highstorm's Beyond...

And then, everything comes to a head. The monster attacks in Springstar reach their zenith, and Zenith forces assassinate Cyrus. In retaliation Meridian forces fire their weapon, destroying Yima's manor and leaving the matron missing. Cyrus' soul appears to have been obliterated... All the while shadows in Springstar and light in Highstorm spread, people and places continue to vanish as if they never existed, and Shard-Bearers wake from a nightmare of being hunted.
