Awoken Ashes

The Brotherhood of the Awoken Ashes, at times simply referred to as 'The Order' or 'The Ashes', were an order of scholars, mages, and wizards that were formed long before The Old World, however, their reason for founding is not entirely clear. They are discussed at length in a number of tomes and scrolls, and there are several depictions of their order's symbol on various murals and spires throughout the Great Kingdom, however, no other evidence exists. There are no artifacts of their order, no tomes written by members, and no one recorded as coming forth as a member; either they did not actually exist, or the order was so secretive that evidence has been deliberately destroyed.

Their pioneering use of arcane magics, long before Arkaine, indicates an understanding of the weave of magic not otherwise understood for centuries.

With research into magic, alchemy, transmutation, and even the basics of chronomancy, the Awoken Ashes accomplished things in the time before The Old World that are on the cutting edge in 222.

If they existed at all.

Structure

The Awoken Ashes were a secretive organization of mages and warriors, founded during the early days of Kermoria's history. Their primary objective was to safeguard the world from threats beyond mortal comprehension. The organization was known for its strict adherence to secrecy, with only the most trusted and capable individuals being allowed to join.

The Ashes were led by a council of elders, who oversaw the organization's activities and made important decisions. The council was composed of the most experienced and powerful members of the organization, each with their own area of expertise. The members of the council were often referred to as "Ashen Elders".
Beneath the council were the "Ashen Order", a group of elite warriors and mages who were tasked with carrying out the organization's objectives. The Order was divided into different branches, each specializing in a different area of combat or magic. These branches were often referred to as "Ashen Wings", with each member being identified by the color of their cloak.
The Ashen Wings were further divided into smaller groups known as "Ashen Cells". These cells were made up of three to five members who worked together on specific missions or objectives. Each cell was led by a commander, who reported to the leaders of their respective Ashen Wing.
The Awoken Ashes were known to possess vast knowledge and artifacts from the ancient world, many of which were beyond mortal understanding. They also had the ability to teleport themselves and others across great distances, making them a formidable force in times of need.
Despite their power and influence, the Awoken Ashes eventually became defunct. The exact reasons for their downfall are unknown, but many speculate that they disbanded after their objectives were accomplished, or that they were destroyed by a great threat they were unable to overcome.
Today, little is known about the Awoken Ashes, and their legacy has become nothing more than myth and legend. However, rumors persist that their knowledge and artifacts still exist, hidden away in forgotten vaults and ruins, waiting to be discovered by those brave enough to seek them out.
