Lord Commander of the Zoluren Expeditionary Force

Serving as the absolute head of the armies of the Zoluren Expeditionary Force, the Lord Commander is charged with the defense of the province from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Responsibilities

One of the strengths of the Zoluren Army is its centralized leadership, embodied in the High Command, an influential council serving the King by overseeing the military. The High Command is made up of Zoluren's ruling military elite led by Viscount Grombrindal , absolute commander of Zoluren's military forces. Beneath Grombrindal are the three supreme commandants who have authority over each of Zoluren's three great armies. The High Command also includes a large body open to all retired officers ranked Commander or higher in the army and Captain or higher in the navy. These inestimable men and women draw upon decades of experience to analyze current engagements and evaluate possible strategies.
Although these retired officers serve solely as advisors without any actual field authority, their recommendations carry considerable weight and can affect the decisions of the supreme commandants and Lord Commander.
