Born near Fayrin's Rest, Lyneya is the daughter of a cooper and a maidservant.  Owing to her humble beginnings and a boatload of ambition, she joined the Ilithi Volunteer Service and eventually the Ilithi Infantry, working her way through the ranks until she was promoted to Field Marshal in 219.
