The High Keepers

Fulfilling a number of roles, the High Keepers are unique amongst Kermoria's militaries, as they are the only dedicated aerial force in the world.  Riding aloft Gryphons or Hippogrifs, they operate as airborne scouts, behind-the-lines raiding parties, archers, and can even become makeshift bombardiers by dropping rocks or alchemical flasks into enemy formations.

Due to the difficulties in training their beasts, the Keepers remain small in number, but are still regarded as a highly disruptive and exceptionally dangerous force.
