Two-horned Twilight
A beast that roams the Withering caves, feasting on the miners and explorers who fail to notice its presence in due time. Rarely seen above ground, the two-horned twilight lurks deep in the shadows of the withering caves, watching and waiting for its next victim. The two-horned twilight is associated with power and intelligence due to the few people that can tame such a bloodthirsty creature, those who attempt to tame one will only survive if they possess some sort of great power, be it governmental, magical, or simply willpower.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Slender and both draconic and feline in nature, the two-horned twilight boasts two horns that rest just beneath their ears, usually twisted and coiled similarly to the horns of a gazelle. Massive, scaled paws with talons as long as a butcher's knife, lethal to anyone who lands on the wrong end of them. Blueish black scales and fur across the body,mimicking the appearance of a panther mixed with some sort of reptile. A long tail with a spiked mace-like bone growth on the end.

Biological Traits
Two-horned twilights appear to live for up to 8000 years, however, it is known that they regularly die during fights for territory against other packs within the withering cave system.
Growth Rate & Stages
When they are first born, a two-horned twilight will be incredibly fluffy, and much less dangerous looking than their adult counterparts. They have wide eyes and a playful disposition, though not many people have witnessed baby two-horned twilights due to the fierce protectiveness of their parents, those that have state the babies are incredibly playful and cute and have been likened to kittens.
As they grow older, the two-horned twilight young begins to lose most of their baby fluff, growing in scales to replace a good majority of their fur, though even once adult they still remain somewhat furry.

Ecology and Habitats
The optimal environment is the withering caves, and no one has ever seen a two-horned twilight outside of this habitat, aside from the ancient female named Dusklight. Observed in Dusklight, she tends to prefer dark, quiet areas but has been spotted prowling the streets of Mournstead in the daylight, though it is uncertain whether this is because she is a rare case, or if this is how all two-horned twilights behave once taken out of their natural environment.

Social Structure
The two-horned twilights live in several different packs within the withering cave system, and these packs are known to fight amongst each other for territory. However, it was once observed on a full moon in Johilt that the two-horned twilight packs would have what appeared to be a peaceful gathering, where new adults of each pack would move from their birth pack to another. It is thought this is how the packs prevent undesirable traits formed by inbreeding. The new adults integrate seamlessly into their new packs, and it was observed that several adults who had moved from pack 2LBlue into 8DGrey had killed their parents from 2LBlue in a bid for territory. They seem to hold only loyalty towards their packs, rather than towards their blood relatives.
Domestication
The only known tamed two-horned twilight is Dusklight, an incredibly ancient female who was 'tamed' by the Queen Veronica Laina of Mournstead just after the events of the Coronation of Blood. It is unknown why two-horned twilights are unable to be tamed by those who don't wield some form of great power. Those who do manage to tame a two-horned twilight are hailed as incredibly powerful rulers.

Incredibly intelligent, thought to be of a similar intelligence level to dragons.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Sharp eyes that can see up to 100ft in the dark, and 50ft in broad daylight. Thought to be imbued with the same magic that runs through Sylmanite, the two-horned twilights have the ability to sense magic users from a mile away.

Conservation Status
Two-horned twilight are protected by the Mournstead code of animal protection, due to the high amount of poachers who would enter the withering caves in search of them. Rest assured, the two-horned twilights don't need protection as there are thought to be hundreds remaining in the wild, but rather this is to deter poachers from entering the caves, as if they were to survive an attack with the two-horned twilight somehow, they would be hit with a potential life sentence in the wailing dungeons. Neither of which is a fun fate.
