Valetos (Val-Let-Os)
Eternal One Valetos Demas
Eternal One Valetos was once an oracle and seer for their tribe. They were alive before the reclimation of their land from the Dwarves. During the first invasion of the Fae, Valetos brought aid from both their heard and the dragonkin of Drakura, who had taken their people in, and offered to fight alongside the Dwarves to try and defend their land, claiming this invasion hurt all of Redbane. They were exposed to the raw chaotic magic of the first world so much, and for so long during the war that it warped how time behaved around them. They found that they would rapidly age and de-age randomly, going from a young adult to an elder who could barely stand, and back to a foal again, but they never aged to the point where they would die. And in fact, this curse seemed to make them immortal.
When the Fae retreated, Valetos's centaurs and the dragonkin turned on the Dwarves and drove them out, retaking their sacred lands the Dwarves had stolen from them so long ago. Over time, the Centaur tribes began to unify and Tauguan was born. Thanks to their many years of service as both a wise seer and fearsome warrior, and the fact that their curse seemed to keep them alive long after their time should have come, the Grand Council voted to make Valetos the ruler of Tauguan. Due to their curse, the title they were named became The Eternal One.
