Taure

The Divine Forest

Taure is the spirit of the forest. The Elvish people believe that Taure’s being rests in all of the wild—including plants, animals, and fungi. This means that the Elvish people are incredibly reverent to the forest and only take what they need, because they know that Taure will provide for them all year round. If Elves take more than what is necessary from the forest, Taure’s spirit will leave the bounty, making the food difficult to digest (or sometimes rotten, depending on the severity of the transgression).   Many people give an offering to Taure everyday, by choosing to regenerate what they’ve taken. Each day, the Elvish people partake in a planting ritual with the Eru (temple gardener). During this ritual they both plant seeds to regenerate what they have taken and gather seeds to add to the Eridh (temple seed library). If Elves miss this ritual, they are asked to complete the regeneration ceremony in their home garden, using their personal seed collection.   The head of the Endaril , Taure is worshipped by elves across Morenthyr. The rest of the Endaril draw their power from Taure, who blesses them with great abilities to assist it’s chosen people.
