Adonn, God of Storms and Victory

(a.k.a. The Storm King)

Adonn is a diety who controls storms and the weather, as well as the concept of victory among mortals. He once led the Empyrean Legion, the army of the gods. His soul was shattered in a great battle with the other gods after his lust for power grew too great. He was the first leader of the Ring of Divinity, followed by Oculus, the God of Foresight and the Future.

Adonn is driven by his desire for victory. This desire consumed his every thought until his goal became the conquering of the entire Astralverse.

Reign

Adonn reigned over the Council of the Ring for just over 200 years. Most other celestials viewed him as a powerful and commanding leader, but lamented that his lust for power would lead him to make decisions against the best interest of the council. In the year of his death, Adonn proposed a plan to conquer the Astralverse through use of a grand divine army, built by himself, the Raven Queen, and the Mother. The council unanimously disagreed with this proposal and ordered Adonn's removal. He fled the capital city and evaded capture for months. He was eventually found hiding in the Feywild, unbeknownst to the Mother. The council banded together and defeated Adonn, shattering his soul into an undetermined number of fragments. Through the shattering of his soul, the council was able to maintain control over his powerful domain.
