Oculus, God of Foresight and the Future
(a.k.a. The All-Seer, The Mad God)
Oculus was the God of Foresight and the Future and the second leader of the Council of the Ring. Oculus was able to see the possible paths that destiny would take, an ability that made him the chief advisor within the Ring after Adonn's shattering. However, Oculus was stricken from both records and holy texts following his death at the end of the BGJ era.
The Prophecy
Oculus frequently had visions of the future, which he used to guide the Council of the Ring and ensure they would remain in power over creation. His visions led the Council to victory during The Dragon War, a feat which earned him the nickname "The All-Seer." In the later years of his life, Oculus became increasingly obsessed with pushing the limits of his predictions further into the future. His son, Vyden, God of Knowledge, helped Oculus to expand his visions using a variety of spells and rituals, a feat which led Oculus to the vision of a great cataclysm which he called "The Silence of the Choir." This event is an overreach of the Aspect of Chaos, brought about by its disciples, which results in the destruction of the Astralverse. The Silence of the Choir was prophecised to begin with a great winter, followed by a devestating war. It was also understood that the fall of the Base World through fault of the gods would be the event to incite the cataclysm.Avoiding the Prophecy
Oculus sought to subvert the Silence of the Choir, but knew that any attempt to do so would be thwarted by the Council of the Ring, as the existence of the prophecy itself suggests the gods are imperfect. To combat this, he formed a plan to manipulate the gods into striking him down by telling them of their fault in the prophecy. This would result in their distrust of immortals to possess the power of forsight and the Domain of Forsight to be passed to a mortal. Oculus would then manipulate that mortal through visions to attempt to avoid the Silence of the Choir. This plan was put into action, resulting in Oculus's death. His domain was then captured and eventually given to Vorston, the Frigid King. Oculus would proceed to manipulate Vorston through his visions into bringing about the Frigid Wrath, the eternal winter seen in the prophecy. By nearly causing the eternal winter and then having Vorston defeated, Oculus would be able to prevent the Silence of the Choir.Divine Domains

Motivation
Oculus was motivated by a desire to keep the realm in balance, a sentiment that grew deep enough for him to question the morality of the Council.
Social
Reign
Oculus became leader of the Council of the Ring following the shattering of Adonn, the previous leader. He was seen as the obvious candidate by his fellow deities due to his future sight, and was able to use it to guide the council into a better age. However, Oculus quickly became disilusioned with the morality of the other gods on the council, particularly those of the Mother, Sorbek, and Dorial. Using his future sight, he was able to forsee the coming of the Frigid Wrath and the growth of the Aspect of Chaos in the distant future, an event he knew could only be avoided through his death. To acomplish this, he began to actively question the falibility of the celestials to provoke action, then retreated to Kindevion's Underdark to await the comming battle. He was eventually slain by Sorbek, his body falling to waste in the Abyss.
