Feyn Longstride
pronouns: he/him
Personality
Feyn is very friendly and outgoing with a cheerful, positive outlook. He uses humor to defuse tension and to avoid opening up to anyone. His exuberance and joking nature serves as a way to keep others at a distance. While he’s quick to give a humorous anecdote about his old uncle so-and-so or that time he tricked an orc into kissing a horse’s rear, he rarely talks about himself or opens up to anyone about his past.
His companions find his relentless positivity sometimes irritating, but he doesn’t mind. In his view, the glass is usually half full. Feyn doesn’t have high respect for authority, and has found himself in trouble on countless occasions—with everyone from Imperial officials back in the Crimson City to elven priests here in Din'Lux. Feyn also enjoys mocking pompous people, hating pretense and stuffiness, which sometimes leads to conflicts with his companions.
Feyn always embraced the cosmopolitan aspect of his hometown, the Crimson City, finding common language with all kinds of people. He enjoys writing the stories and experiences of those he meets into ballads and songs.

Personal History
Feyn originally hails from the Crimson City, the capital of the Berian Empire. When a local fortune-teller told him that he would one day cause the deaths of many people close to him, he left his family out of a desire to save them from this fate. With the endless conflicts of the Great War, mercenary work was easy to find, and Feyn was able to join a battalion of soldiers. Whenever he is asked about this time as a mercenary, Feyn is sure to change the subject. His past remains a mystery, even to his closest friends.
After the Darkness returned, Feyn found himself in the city of Din'Lux. He worked as a bard, playing music on the streets and in taverns, until he suddenly chose to join the Seekers' Guild. He is well-loved in the guild, always entertaining all around him with his music and wit, but it's clear to his fellow Seekers that something haunts Feyn behind those twinkling eyes and jaunty grin.
Resourceful and witty. A jack of all trades.
