The Lost Sessions Report

General Summary

The following is an excerpt from the Taleniu Hastagrun as dictated by Historian Hamulleng. Well well well. It will be noted in another history that our great university was attacked. We lost a few rather important manuscripts along the way along with some brilliant historians, Luckily I survived and ah yes so did Modellian. No you're not an after-thought Modellian just gathering thoughts after that tragedy. Grab your tea man! What are you waiting for? Anyways I will attempt to reconcile what was lost here since Session 4 - I know thats far back Modellian but my old mind is like a steel trap! Nothing gets forgotten! So here we go... After the events at the feast in the chaos hjunters camp, Jasper made fast friends With Hector Magnalius (Hodgy) a brutal yet fair chaos hunter, the party visited a strange shopkeeper and acquired a - what was that mask called Modellian? ah yes the Immortal Mask of Uncanny. Yes I agree, I am fairly certain they dont understand half of the things they travel with but thats why we are here Modellian so we may explain to anyone who is lucky enough to find these manuscripts just waht in the nine is happening! So they witness Brolin Savoll trying to step up as leadership of the chaos hunters and he is challenged by combat and wins. A leader of the chaos hunters is born! Yes I know Modellian, history in the making, 8 years of chaos guilds following a rough guideline with no allegiance to anyone and now a leader! I am as excited as you are lad now back to it. So the party starts off towards Cladwin, it is an uneventful Journey which is surprisingly. Ah Modellian you are correct young man there were some important events that happened while they were traveling, such as Jaspers father and sister taken captive and his father dying. Yes I beleive it was that fellow Janus half-hand. Quite a bounty on Jaspers head also, 10,000 gold pieces. I do not envy that poor boy. What else transpired, ah yes they did have many delighted conversations on how they should use the mask, including, and I cant believe I am repeating this, but they considered abducting a street urchin off of the street to test it and when Turner approached said urchin, well it turned out to be a full grown gnome and they second guessed their plan. Thank the nine! So they all arrived at Cladwin and passed through the gates no problem. Yes I know that Modellian but it was after they passed the gates that they had issues, details matter my good man. As soon as they entered the city a rogue arrow meant for Turner was shoit at them and thank the nine he had Ms. Clara with him or he would have been a goner. Instead the arrow hit an orphange and it exploded. Yes it seems Turners past has come back to bit him in the proverbial ass as they say. So they met with a contact and they also met with Silas Vesper. Head of the syndicate. Turner then laid his eyes on Wella Vesper again, ah yes the old flame, the one that got away, tragic back story that young lady. Yes yes Modellian you may make a separate entry for her should you feel the need, however please make a note it is not for the feint of heart to read, and be gracious about it! So Modellian let us jot down some things in point form to speed this along, some things they have learned while inside Cladwin;

The information they have been requested to acquire by King Belmont Travill is actually in the head of a Gnome name Darbos Silverhand
The syndicate is stretched as they hear the rumblings of war with the orcs again and a new threat has been interupting their business in the north - yes some nasty business with a necromancers and large translucent beings with steel claws
There is a rebellious sect within the city called the dancers who seem to enjoy causing mayhem and explosions in order to piss the syndicate off
Their contact Camembert is exceptionally strong for an old man and has decided to leave with them out of the city
The mask does work in transfering faces and they had limited success in this endeavour
Mintleaf has acquired some magic prowess and has absconded Midjorn with Turners entire bank vault and is on the way to meet him
An old associate of Turners is alive-ish. He found out that McMullen has been re-animate

So the party journeyed forth to High Holme and located a few dozen wagon loads of meat for their Griffon - ah yes thank you for the reminder Modellian, they also have a panther traveling with them so some odd reason. Yes quite the ecclectic traveling companions. They found Mintleafs caravan of odd assorted people, many of them with innate abilities. Yes Modellian it is exciting! Innate abilities have not been around in near 1000 years! So an assasination attempt is made while they are in the camp and they subdue the attacker and learn that he was after the King, they did however have bad intel and of course the king was not in Mintleafs caravan so the party took this opportunity to torture the would be assasin with the mask. Yes they are not aware of that Modellian, I am not sure how much they do know. The assassin did however explode into a pile of goo. Yes not pleasant. Shortly after nightfall a Rider galloped into the camp and deposited a near death Josephine to Jasper. The rider said nothing and galloped away although they did try to get answers. Yes I know he goes by that title, a rather resourceful lad. Yes yes make an entry for him if you must, actually I do have some input I think may be important. Before we go Modellian, we must breifly touch on Ms. Claras dream with the being, yes that one is very strange and I have not heard of magic like that before. THere was a conversation and when she woke up her hand had become envoloved in emerald. No it doesnt seem dangerous so far as I know, it does seem like the ermeald is fusing to her skin. How should I know my dear boy we have only just scratched the surface of these adventures! So that is where has been left off with the party.
