Coivo Ingóle

"Life of magic. Poetic words for tree blood that makes you piss magic. "   ~Archmage Dulacar, of The Brass Tower

Properties

Material Characteristics

A thick red sap that contains raw magic.

Compounds

Coivo Ingóle is the primary ingredient of Lilitingóle.

Origin & Source

Coivo Ingóle is the sap of the Imeárahon tree.

Life & Expiration

Coivo Ingóle must be harvested directly from the tree, either through the use of taps or through Lussvardarianna  After 3-18 hours, it hardens into a tacky consistency.   If left alone for a year or so it becomes a fragile amber, which hardens year after year until it becomes nearly unbreakable over the course of a century.

History & Usage

Cultural Significance and Usage

This sap is the only resource advantage that the Wood Elves have over the High Elves. It has since become central to their identity in Doroinir Nimloth and similar elf

Refinement

To be rendered safe for consumption, the sap must be 'tuned' by contact with quartz crystals. This is most often done with shaped quartz bottles.

Manufacturing & Products

Hazards

Consuming the sap without refining it can cause serious problems. Greenspeakers who make the Imeárahon trees angry sometimes find themselves being sprayed with hot sap eruptions.   The sap can cause a number of effects, varying from wild magic outbreaks to serious and terrible mutations.
