Doresain, King of Ghouls

King Doresain (a.k.a. The Hungry One, King of Ghouls)

"The King demanded a feast."   ~Letter left on the gnawed bones of Plutarchs Ambrosen Eeltrapper

Artifacts

Golems made of gnawed bones or teeth commonly guard the inner sanctums of Doresain shrines. Additionally, clothing made from skins and tools made from the bones of victims are common, each with their own unique enchantments and curses.

Holy Books & Codes

Holy books of Doresain are nameless (usually referred to by epithets like "foul book" or "unholy tome") and offer promises rather than dogma; They are arranged very much like cookbooks with songs and hymns in between ingredients and instructions. The meat is usually from sentient beings, and the final dish is presented with promises of power attached to them.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Doresain is usually represented by a skull pierced with three nails. No living or unliving thing on Kobos remembers why. If such an object is brought to a shrine of Doresain, it becomes reanimated and capable of issuing prophecies.

Tenets of Faith

The weak consume the dead to become strong.   The strong consume the weak to become stronger.   The stronger consume the strong to ascend.   The ascended consume all because there is no greater joy.

Holidays

The Cult of Doresain celebrates their rites when Mizov is visible, especially when there is a Necromancer's Moon.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Doresain has one obsession: to consume the flesh of gods. He cares nothing for his followers, offering them power only because he believes that if his followers consume the faithful of other gods, then those gods will be weakened enough for him to pounce.   Something between wishful thinking and a prophecy appears in his holy texts that describes him consuming all other gods until he is the last one.
