General Physical Condition

Frederick is bent but deceptively strong from long years of work loading kegs and parcels of meat with as little paid help as possible.

He has a hideous scar of unknown providence across his face. The mark dominates any impression his face would otherwise make.

Personal history

Frederick was orphaned at a very young age, washed ashore on the banks of the Grasping River near Port Terrence at the age of one. His parents, unknown, are assumed to have drowned in a shipwreck but no bodies were ever found.
He was raised in an orphanage, and showed himself to have talent in numbers and business, running several small cookie stands throughout his childhood. 
His Becoming was fairly routine; he was charged with escorting a caravan to Alcedene. A few small bandit raids and a griffin scare later, they had succeeded and returned with little excitement. He was adopted by the childless Almar Leighton and before too long had inherited most of the responsibilities and ownership of the Fording Bard.
Three years after he took over the tavern, he himself adopted a young man named Tomee, and two years after that a young woman named Dolzet.
