Personal history
Hovlek was born into Clan Whitear with little to no fanfare. His childhood was well adjusted even as all of his friends and peers watched their town continue its slow, downward spiral.
His Becoming was his first true adventure, sailing upstream to Krezzym to fulfill a militia obligation for a small bandit hunt. The hunt turned into an all-summer slog, and Hovlek discovered an aptitude for the medic's profession. When the skirmishing was over, he was offered a job in the Blue Valor Corps. He turned it down out of homesickness. Upon returning, he was adopted back into Whitear and took up the medical trade.
It was as a favor for the Manerray that he studied Folk Magic and took up the Cunning Folk trade. He's been a primary healer and wise man for Port Hugo for many years, now.
