Citadel of Da

The Citadel of Da is a ruin in the Cumbu Mountains, atop Mt. Choonser, around seventy-five miles north of the gnome settlement called Wid. It fell into ruin when the Ethereal Greatwyrm Da died of heartbreak following her mate Chamsud's death in the even called the Sky of Unrest.

Purpose / Function

Original Purpose

The Citadel was once the seat of the Greatwyrm Da, who ruled the Rinyaa (Cumbu) Mountains from its lofty height atop Mt. Choonser. She originally constructed it as a bulwark for the peoples of Rinyaa against the predations of the elder god Am.

During the Reign of Da as R̈anëqaas

The benevolent greatwyrm Da Toukaa, R̈anëqaas of Rinyaa ruled her realm from this citadel, dying her of despair and grief following the death of her mate in 661 LE.

Purpose in Latter Years

Beginning in the year 1428 LE, the Dolorous Rapture established a dark temple for themselves beneath the ruins of the Citadel. Their presence was eradicated by the Book Club in 1429 LE.
