Delta was a throwback to an earlier time. Where her father had adopted the more settled and civilized ways of the Ebawecci humans, Delta was wilder and more chaotic. She was not evil or malicious; she simply was not overly dependent upon adherence to the law. She had made it known, in fact, that when she was to become Estiada, the law of combat would settle disputes, rather than pronounced judgements based on facts and law. She never got the opportunity to realize that vision, as she died at court in Häff in the Long Quake of 1430.
