Seachild
The Seachildren are aspirants to the priesthood in the Lighthouse Assembly.
Appointment
Theoretically, Seachildren come to the Assembly of their own accord when they enter adolescence. In reality, they are often the younger children of families who will have nothing to pass on to them when they reach adulthood.
Responsibilities
- Study church history, liturgy, law, and scripture, under the direction of a Tidebrother or Tidesister
- Clean and maintain their local temple or shrine, under the direction of a Tidebrother or Tidesister
- Assist their assigned Tidesister or Tidebrother in officiating religious ceremonies
Benefits
Seachildren live in the temple or shrine to which they are assigned. Their clothing and food are provided by the Assembly.
