Shrine of Cuncedam Calpiaux

The Shrine of Cuncedam Calpiaux lies in the oldest part of the Imperial Palace complex, which is now a public park. Cuncedam's residents was partially destroyed and the remainder was renovated to become the Shrine. Over the lintel, there is a sign in Calpian reading [I]Cuncedam Calpiuax, Qupin idgo Baso, Eibinr̂i wamur̂ Calpi (Cuncedam the Calpian, First and Greatest, Founder of Calpi).

Purpose / Function

The Shrine serves as a focal point for the veneration of Cuncedamus in the Calpian Empire, especially among the Calpii. It supports a small priesthood of three members of the Catbalus, elected by that body to a life term, who see to the maintenance and cleanliness of the Shrine.
