The Songbirds
The Songbirds are the sanctioned church dedicated to Priëtass. They are unique, in that their priesthood is made up of bards, not ecclesiatics.
The Songbirds train at special academies in Lysælfen cities like Jeysh. These institutions instill music theory, poetic theory, Lysælfen history, and diplomacy in their students. After studying for not less than thirty years, the Loremaster of the Academy will examine the student. If they are pleased, the student becomes a member of the Songbirds. If not, they are sent out to make their way in the world as common bards.
Structure
The Songbirds are led by a High Priest/Bard called the Song of the Goddess. This figure is chosen directly by Priëtass to serve her, and their words are considered to be her words.
Beneath the Song of the Goddess are the Loremasters. These are supervisors and examiners in the Temples and Academies of Priëtass.
The rank and file report to the Loremasters and are simply called Songbirds.
Public Agenda
The Songbirds seek to spread knowledge and peace among the Lysælfen. They also serve the Skogsalver when they are accepted by them.
