Toanus Telvus Thelarius
Eiccatbalus Toanus Telvus Thelarius, Eipanicca of the Calpian Mint
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Joined the Catbalus of Calpi in 1419 LE, upon reaching his 40th birthday. He has risen in the ranks of that body and is now the Eipanicca (adjunct censor) in charge of the Calpian mint.
Employment
Currently oversees operations of the Calpian mint. As a perquisite of that role, he is allowed to keep the raw materials of any coins that are mis-struck. The defective coins are stamped with a large X then given to the Eipanicca. Toanus has done a masterful job of maintaining the equipment at the mint so that roughly 3% - not more or less - of the coins struck are defective. He takes the raw materials, has them melted into ingots, and stores the ingots until he can ship them to his brother in Saercumar. This is a delicate balance. If too few coins are defective, there is no profit in the position, but if too many are mis-struck, the Eipanic will dismiss him for mismanagement.
