Expedition
Following the Long Quake, the Book Club hears of some kind of dark angel adding to the suffering of the quake's survivors. They learn that this is an anti-deva bound to their adversary, Tilgūn. Hip is visited by Glovia, who informs her the dark angel is an anti-deva, one of three that Tilgūn has sent. The other two are in Frottst and Häff. She commands Hip to end their threat. To that end, the party visits their contact, the Boss. She agrees to help and bids them return in a few days to learn what intelligence she has been able to gather on their behalf. When they do, she informs them that the only stealthy entrance to the Fortress of Fupet, where the anti-deva has established itself, is via a drain. The Book Club climbs to the drain’s outlet then ascends through the dank interior, emerging in the dungeon of the High Bastion. There, they free several servants and the Terua Agpumoida Puusor, the Awatcova of Fupet. Continuing their ascent up the tower known as the High Bastion, they confront fiendish henchmen of the anti-deva before engaging with the celestial itself on the roof. They defeat the anti-deva and help Terua Agpumoida down to the city, where she makes a public appearance to bring hope to the people.
