Phoenix King (a.k.a. The Grim)
Bel-Adas is the current reigning Phoenix King of the Silver Empire of Alithanar. Bel-Adas was one of only a handful of Phoenix Kings in the entire history of the Empire to be unanimously elected as the next King.
As Phoenix King, Bel-Adas was promised to, and later wed to Everqueen Ammara. They currently have no children.

Personal history
Bel-Adas was the third son in a minor noble family living in Ish Anore. Hoping to one day become a member of the feared order of warriors, the White Lions of Chrace, Bel-Adas spend most of his time practicing with swordmasters and tutors. After tragedy struck his family and lead to the death of his father, mother, and two siblings, Bel-Adas was quickly thrust to the head of his household. The sheer tragedy and pain caused Bel-Adas to adapt a quiet and reserved demeanor, but he was also quite stoic, and changed the words of his house to "Ever Onward." Bel-Adas quickly rose through the ranks not only as a soldier, but as a politician and nobleman. He was shrewd, calculating, calm, and impossible to anger.
After the fall of house Anore, the nobles of Ish Anore sought to find a new family to take the reigns, and rule as Princes and Princesses. Many feuded over the right to take the title, until Bel-Adas stepped forward, taking it as his noble duty to serve the Ish Anoran people to his best effort. The nobles unanimously selected house Ucarel, Bel-Adas' reformed house, to become the new head of Ish Anore, and Bel-Adas quickly found himself named Prince and ruler of the kingdom inside the Silver Empire. Bel-Adas ruled with dignity, honor, and grace, and was loved by many of his people. The only place that Bel-Adas failed, was in the more casual realm of his social life, the female elves of the court found him boorish and brooding, he had no ability in the realm of romance or courting, and sought to raise a child not to take his name, but to continue his work of honor and commitment to the Elven people, and so Bel-Adas adopted Kubas, a son, to raise as his own. Today, Kubas serves as a Loremaster of the White Tower, under Sinal, the High Loremaster of Hoeth and the brother of late Everqueen Ilynara.
Bel-Adas was witness to many of the most difficult and turbulent times of the Silver Empire. He fought valiantly in the defense of his Everqueen, when Cas Thalore triggered the most violent civil war to ever occur to Alithanar. He stood at the walls, bow in hand, to face down Imrys and his dark hordes. He watched as his Everqueen turned to stone, the last of her life force drained to help a group of heroes who sought to end the Dracolich's reign. When the time came for Alithanar to rebuild, he knew what must be done next.
Phoenix King Bel-Adas was a strange and unexpected selection between the remaining princes of Alithanar. After Everqueen Ilynara's death, the Princes congregated and decided that the best path for the Silver Empire was ever onward. Prince Cas Thalore threw his name into the ring, hoping to finally achieve that which he vied for. Ilynara's brother, Loremaster Sinal, pushed against Cas Thalore's bid, calling him a traitor and an enemy of the Empire.
After heated arguments and debates that seemed to last for months, Prince Bel-Adas of Ish Anore stepped forward. Claiming no glory for the crown, and no wishes to be etched into history as a noble and great Phoenix King, but to simply help Alithanar rebuild. The other Princes laughed, mocking him for his attempts. The tide was not turned until High Loremaster Sinal threw his full support behind Bel-Adas. He would not be the most beloved King, the bards will not sing tales of his beauty or his grace, but they will speak of his commitment to Law, and to rebuilding the once glorious empire.
The Princes unanimously voted for Bel-Adas, and when he stepped into the Flames of Asuryan, he stepped back out unscathed. Chosen by the gods, Bel-Adas was crowned as the Phoenix King, and wed to Ammara, daughter of Ilynara. Ammara stands as the only person in recorded history (and personal history) who can bring a smile to the face of the normally Stoic and hardened Phoenix King. The unusual pair were surprisingly perfect for one another, and instead of leaving each others' court to find consorts, as is their right, the Phoenix King and Everqueen love only each other, and need no one else.
