Kormund
The Betrayer
Kormund, known as The Betrayer is one of the two twin creator deities responsible for the formation of Korrisia and greater Korrisian Space. Kormund is seen by most as the dark brother, the being of cruelty, evil, and the father of all that is evil.
Kormund is the direct creator of Drow, Duergar, demons and devils. Most of the creatures traditionally seen as dark and evil are either created by Kormund himself or his children. The number of those who recalled interacting with Kormund always reflected on how secluded and lonesome Kormund was, and that he was gangly, odd, ugly, and always seemed to brew with a calm hatred.

One of Kormund's greatest achievements was his grand betrayal of his brother. After secluding himself in the great fortress of the Everspire, Kormund plotted and devised a grand plan, that he would create a plane devoted entirely to hatred and evil. Kormund created the plane of The Abyss, and with that he created horrific and vile demonic entities, filled purely with his hatred for all. After centuries of building his armies, Kormund launched a grand invasion of the Material Plane, he sought to burn all of his brothers' creations, and to eventually burn his Golden City.

The Betrayer would meet his end at the hand of his own brother. After hundreds of years of battle, when it seemed that Kormund was finally gaining the upper hand, his brother faced him directly. Their titanic war shattered, rebuilt, and reshattered Korrisian space over and over again until the two brothers mortally wounded each other. Kormund fled to the Everspire, and collapsed upon his throne. With his last power, he decreed that his work was unfinished, and that his legacy would continue on. Kormund's essence faded, joining with the Weave and Shadow Weave. A small piece of him, a small hateful and loathsome piece shattered and spread out into Korrisian Space. The most powerful of this essence would form Heirrath, the Thousand Hands of Hate.
