Hivendelge regretfully reports a loss of a small town that many stopped at on their way to the ice bridge festival in the winter or used as one of the few border towns along the easiest route to the summer path through the Lantra Mountains. Hulock of Goldrock was the first, though not the only, traveler who has informed us that the only thing left standing is the stone welcoming sign of
Jeff . Hulock stated that he arrived at the town midday of Cetir the 48th to find one of his main travel stops smoking ash on the bitter cold day.
“There was nothing left but dead. Some places were still burning. I bet it had only been attacked a day or two before at most.” This town meant a lot to him, stating that he often stopped in the town once every turn of Skiti. “I didn’t know what to do except tie my horses up and spend the next few nights searching the town for any sign of survivors. I didn’t find anyone left, there was nothing but dead.”
He wasn’t alone in the mourning of
Jeff, as over the course of the next two weeks, many more travelers arrived to find everything burned. A clean-up effort was made, and everybody found was properly set to rest. Those who helped clean covered the large pyre with stone left over from the town. A remembrance crew will be sent to the location to construct a memorial. It is unlikely the town will be able to rebuild, as there were
no survivors. One survivor
A reward has been reserved for an adventuring crew to eradicate the goblin band that attacked the town. Below we have listed every known resident assumed to have perished in the razing of
Jeff. This list is likely to be incomplete, if you know of anyone not listed who might have been in Jeff at the time, please send a notice to the castle.
There are about 150 names on the list, including
Kelvos Bronson (68), Jein Cenar-Kels (27), Bron Kelson (6), and Belle Kelsdottr (1).
Below the listed names is a note in Kelvos’ handwriting adding 10 more names, including Alena Cedrics, aged 2 months.
