Cryattic State (Cry-ah-tik)

Crysis are Shadow Beasts or spirit beasts which have lost connection to their host. Refered to as being in a cryattic state, Crysis are created when either their connection to their host is severed when they are outside of their host (generally 100-150 feet at max), or if they run out of stamina1 and are outside of the range to return to their host.   Hosts do not need to be concious or have the limb where the mark resides naturally to be be attached for their shadow beast to return if they are in range, but Crysis will fade2 if their host is killed. Mythial being used on a person will send a summoned spirit beast into a cryattic state and prevent them from returning, even if within range.   Crysis can continue to use magic even if they have run out of energy, however they, being severed from their host, have lost any sense of reasoning or false personality3 and will attack anyone, including allies or even their host.   When a Crysis regains their 'sanity' they will immediately return to their host and be unable to be summoned for a long time.
1 Stamina is the amount of energy a shadow beast has available to them. This amount changes per the shadow beast's capacity and if they have rested recently inside the host, and naturally drains when summoned or using magic.

2 Fading is an effect that happens to shadow beasts when they are killed. Unlike the black shadowey smoke that appears when they leave or return to a host, those which are killed out of range of their host or are out when their host is killed will collapse as if dead and just fade into transparency.

3 False personality is the personality of a spirit beast. As TSBs are just a reflection of their host, they do not have personalities of their own thus even though they seem to react to things they only reflect their own host.
