Sunset Spire
The Sunset Spire is a tower of the Imperial Necromantic University and is located within Greater Aodios and the tallest structure of the The Necropolis. It is used mostly to house students of the necromatic arts, containing mostly sleeping halls, but also laboratories dedicated to university needs.
The tower became infamous for it's use as makeshift plauge house durring the plauge.
Purpose / Function
The Sunset Spire functions mainly as housing for students of the Imperial Necromantic University. The upper part of the tower consists mostly of sleeping halls, but also has bath rooms, studies, small libaries and also a chapel to cater to all of the needs of it's students. In the lower part of the tower are multiple laboratories equiped for various occasions, including but not limited to autopsies and alchemy. On the top floor of the spire is a large ritual circle that is used for invocations, reanimatious or summoning.
Sensory & Appearance
The stench of the undead is inescapeable within the aodian Necropolis and the Sunset Spire is no exception. As one would expect from an necromantic university, iconography of death and undeath is present all throughout the building.
Denizens
The students of the necromantic arts are assisted by undead servants that are housed in a crypt just outside the tower. The undead servants also act as janitoral and groundskeeping staff, keeping the tower as well as the rest of the university and the surrounding university grounds, parks and cementaries clean.

Special Properties
Ever since the use as quarantine shelter for the sick of the plauge, the ghosts of the fallen have been haunting the tower. At night thier tormented coughing and wheezing can be heard throughout the entire tower.
Architecture
The Sunset Spire is built in the marvelous high nefadric style, as is to be expected for an nefadric university. A center piece of decoration is the massive gargoyle that is positioned on a console, overlooking the horrifiying Omyhx Thicket.
History
Great plauge
The sick fill every bed, the sick occupy the floor of the rooms and so they do in the hallways. They lay in thightly packed rows, with the absolute minimum space to make way for the nures and doctors, turning blue and coughing so hard they tear thier abdominal muscles. Thier nose bleeds profusely while they scream in a feavered delirium. Some of the sick have torn holes in thier lungs, which leads to air collecting beneath thier skin, making them crackle when nurses turn them. A quarter of the hospital staff has gotten sick themselfs, with a shocking ammount of them collasping without showing any symptoms prior, just to die hours later. The nurses and doctros fight a seemingly unwinable war with the plauge, yet carry on.
Durring the great plauge every centimeter of the Sunset Spire was used to house infected in an effort to quarantine the city. Due to the high death toll the plauge claimed and due to the tower being one of the largest quarantine shelters, it has earned the nicknames 'The Mortal Spire' or 'Tower of the Forsaken'.
