Hexspar

Hexspar, also known as Managlass, is a brittle crystalline mineral of distinct violet color and a slight translucence. Its most famous property is how it reacts to the presence of sorcery or Witchrock. It detects the use of magic within a radius whose diameter is based on the quantity/weight of Hexspar, orienting itself like a compass would to magnetic north. It is commonly used to guide surveyors to Witchrock deposits on the surface Wasteland and for screening individuals entering restricted areas to ensure they do not have concealed Witchrock (material spell component) on them.
