House Rhison
House Rhison is the sole noble house with any political power in the Rhison Principality. They're an extensive house, with many branches that are so removed from each other that they are essentially completely different families. They have a strange system of governance where the ruler is a prince, and his two parents are advisors. The prince must go through a process of suitor seeking in which the members of the family will perform in many competitions across the country in order to win his affection. When they finally have an heir that is 16 years old, he becomes the new prince and his parents become the new advisors. Many people outside of the Rhison Principality find this process of suitor seeking off-putting, but anyone who has met members of the family will generally find them warm, inviting, and almost normal. The prince plays a very active role in governing his people, constantly traveling from place to place in order to check in on them and make sure everyone can be at peace and fulfilled. House Rhison follow their own fey rules, and hold art, beauty, and love above all.
